Cape or blanket?

Heyyo jammos! Today the returning heart Cape has returned for its special month February! It has came in different colours? I hope so! 
This can be sold in jam mart clothing for 300 gems! Now I've always wondered something. What is the difference between a cape and blanket? They both look the same but what's the difference?
Here is a clover blanket: 
Now look is there any difference? Nope! I guess the blankets are a nonmember version. How special? 
I like the clover blankets better than the heart Cape. Just saying!
